Visby Medical reduced a ~6-day central lab wait time down to under 30 minutes at the point-of-care. You can now talk with your patient about the result, during the visit. Patient loss-to-care may become a thing of the past. That’s a positive impact you’ll appreciate.
Visby Medical shrank the traditional sofa-sized PCR lab-instrument down to the palm of your hand. Now it’s portable, and easily deployable, in a ~3 by 4 inch device. Revolutionary.
Capable of identifying multiple pathogens from the same sample, the miniaturized Visby Medical device delivers greater than ~97%1 accuracy just like central lab instruments, only ~1,000 times smaller. That’s huge.
1. Instructions for Use.
Is it instrument-free or is it cartridge-free? It’s both, because it’s all-in-one, single-use, and disposable. Add more tests as your testing demand increases. Scale back as patient demand subsides. Order today and begin testing as soon as tomorrow.2
2. Depending on shipping.
At Visby Medical, we humbly believe our new diagnostic platform will become the gold standard among PCR point-of-care devices, by delivering accurate results in under 30 minutes to empower clinicians with data-driven results, while with their patient.
November 23, 2020: Visby Medical Sexual Health Click Test clinical study, sponsored by NIH/NIAID, is published in The Lancet: “Performance of a single-use, rapid, point-of-care PCR device for the detection of Neisseria gonorrhoeae, Chlamydia trachomatis, and Trichomonas vaginalis: a cross-sectional study.”Read more
True PCR results in under 30 minutes. Goodbye empiric treatment - hello data-driven decisions. No more compromising between speed and accuracy.
Enzyme-linked DNA detection provides a boost in sensitivity and enables colorimetric detection.
A tiny device, yet exceptionally big on innovation.
At ~3 by 4 inches small, it’s easily deployable at the point of care. Imagine PCR results at your fingertips, ending the need to send samples away (now you can bill for on-site tests).
Simply drop in the sample, slide the port, push the buttons, and plug it in. That’s it. The Visby Medical platform is a breeze to use at the point of care and requires little to no training.
Be untethered from both! Is it instrument-free or cartridge-free? It’s both because it is all-in-one. No expensive service or repair contracts.
Elegantly simple, yet highly sophisticated, single-use design. That’s a big positive impact for a tiny device
I started Visby Medical to solve the problem that at any given moment, millions of people are waiting for a diagnosis—often waiting for days when it should be minutes. I set out to create a tiny diagnostic tool with the gold standard accuracy of PCR but, unlike big central lab instruments, could deliver results fast, in minutes, so the clinician can make a data-driven decision. I wanted to create a diagnostic tool which would be small and portable enough to work anywhere, with no separate instrumentation, and which would be simple enough to be used by anyone, anywhere, anytime.
The beauty of the Visby Medical platform isn’t just the accuracy and size of the device, but also the speed which enables doctors to maximize their time with patients, during that key initial visit. So, rather than spending precious time guessing, Visby Medical enables clinicians to spend time having a real conversation with the patient, listening and making a real connection, with real impact on public health and clinicians too. As a professor at Stanford Medical school, this is the standard of care we all aspire to: the ability to treat the whole patient — not just the disease.
Visby is important to the world and to business, not only because it has achieved unbelievable advances in PCR testing and diagnostics in general, but also because it is a purpose-driven company — and that is the future. Visby is among the first in a new era of purpose-driven companies helping to ensure free enterprise builds a better world.
The COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted the vital importance of very accurate, quick-response, single-use tests. With them, lives can return to normal both in developed and developing countries without causing numerous casualties. Visby’s team has shown how brilliant entrepreneurship can bring groundbreaking innovation in testing, not just for COVID-19, but for all infectious diseases, now and in the future.
Visby has solved one of the most important problems in testing. Now the most extraordinary diagnostic technology, PCR, is simple and accessible. This is an enormous advancement in putting healthcare in the hands of people.
PCR, when appropriately applied, generates a highly sensitive and precise result. Visby’s PCR technology is so sensitive that it will pick up a signal that is likely to otherwise be missed. They have miniaturized PCR, validating it in the most rigorous fashion that satisfies both the compliance agencies as well as practicing physicians. This is a very important patient-friendly advance, which will lead to a new class of point of care diagnostics.
It’s a full 40-cycle PCR lab in an incredibly small package. It’s also fast, creating a whole new category at the intersection of accuracy, speed and deployability. That’s a powerful new force that delivers a new era in results-driven diagnosis and informed treatment, during the patient visit.
